Bookmarks: Endless free content ideas

If you get the chance to review them all

I have many bookmarked items on multiple platforms. When I made this video, there were over 400 in my Watch Later list on YouTube. That number is now cresting at 588.

Why you saved a piece of content often provides clues to the content you wanted to create:

  • Lessons learned

  • Why the person did it wrong

  • What you’d do differently

  • What it reminds you of, and how it’s relevant to your audience

  • What you learned and how it impacts you

  • Situation analysis

These lists of bookmarks keep ideas that help fuel your own content.

To keep things somewhat manageable, I recommend creating a video on what you’re looking at, explaining the importance, extracting the transcript, and then using both to repurpose into multiple pieces of content.

You do not have to publish the video(s). If you absolutely do not want to make a video, speak your comments into a document using the voice-to-text function on your device or use a free app like Otter.ai to transcribe your thoughts.

Using this method, I’ve created hundreds of pieces of content over the last 12 months.
